Got a charge alx from eBay supposedly used a couple of times in excellent condition for $50 I already own several Leatherman’s including wave+ surge etc looking forward to own a charge for the first time

Almost lost this baby flying home from UK to the Netherlands. I forgot to put it back in the checked-in luggage so I had it still in my daypack. During the security scan they picked me out and gave me two options either they have it disposed or I'll have my daypack checked in.

Daypack checked in it is then. Good thing I did that as I was checking the price now...wow I can't believe how much it costs now! I bought it for around 160 euro, it is discontinued now and the successor it costs 250 euro!

Good call!!

I bought mine, used, last year (same version as yours but with a raised pad) for €70.

The large blade had a sharpened edge but nothing too serious. At that price, I knew I shouldn't make an issue of it.

70 euro now that's reasonable price even though for a used one. If I ever need to buy one again, I surely look for used one coz to be honest, the price nowadays is just to much to justify. I know one thing for sure, next time I go to USA for holiday, I'm gonna buy a bunch of leathermans :)

Thanks Poncho, yeah indeed now I think about it. If they didn't gave me that option, I wouldn't have known about it and I'd just accept it I'd loose my charge. I just realize how lucky I was!

I think LM should bring back those older scales for sure. While I like the newer TTi handle scales, the the new ones are a bit thicker and don't look quite as good. IMO

Not a member of this club anymore, just gifted my Charge TTi to my partner who has just qualified as a full time firefighter!
  She said she needed a Leatherman as all the others carried one on their belts.
  I thought the Charge would fit the bill especially with the cutting hook on the serrated blade.
  Needless to say, she was extremely pleased with it, I'm sure she'll put it to good use rather than me having it sat in a drawer.

 I hope to rejoin the club in the future if I can find one for the bargain price I paid.......£70 NIB.
