I use a basic LM Nylon sheath a lot as it lives on my work belt.  After about a year the fuzzy part (the loops) has developed a bald spot that no longer sticks to the hooks. :(  In all other ways the sheath looks excellent but now I cannot trust it to stay closed.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

i use velcro much as i use duct tape. securing bundles, etc.

never on sheaths or holsters, though. in those applications i use studs, buttons or snaps, in that order. without trying to be too dramatic...velcro can get you killed. it's just too noisey.

You all should know about LYNX Fasteners!: a family of silent, durable, press-together fastening systems useable for sheaths and much more.

Post modified & PM on the way.

Huh, that LYNX stuff has potential.   :tu:

I'm another one of those folks who just HATES the sound of velcro ripping. I work in a Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, and nobody here likes it when I have to open something that makes that sound!
