I got banned from Blade Forums years back for having the audacity to venture an opinion about Striders ::)

I've heard it can be a pretty hot topic on some boards.  ::)

I'd have to say useless, they could come up with something better, worse yet the dreaded can opener how often do you say, man I wish I had a can opener in my pocket. they are both stupid tools. I'm gonna ask about the can opener and see what people say.

Of course bottle openers are useful.  Good beer doesn't come with twist-off caps.
The one on a SAK or Swisstool is also a screwdriver, pry-bar, and wire-stripper.

Some of them can also open cans.

I use my bottle opener quite often. Whenever I go down to the Mexican part of town I get me a case of mexican coke in glass bottles made with sugar, like it used to be. Real, non corn syrup Coca Cola in the Midwest, yay!

I don't use the bottle openers very often, but it's nice to have one when I need it.

My bottle opener gets used for quite a bit of Mexican Coca Cola too.
They sell it by the case at Costco out here.

It is my understanding that Coke and other soda pop manufactures use sugar every where except in the United States. In the US corn syrup is used as the sweetener in pop and many other products.

I assume your Coke is similar to Coke in Mexico.

It appears that corn syrup is only used in Coke in the US http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola_formula

Now I want to try US coke.  :D

for any tactical bartender:

"The Nemesis Knives bottle opener has been rigorously field tested for you. Its lightweight titanium frame effortlessly popped the caps on 60 different bottles in one test session.

Run the length of bead chain through your belt loop and carry it in your pocket for on-the-spot opening tasks. Or, carry it around your neck for faster use. "

As a beer drinker  I use the caplifter quite a bit . Most of the bottled beer in the UK still needs a bottle opener .

Dunc

Newcastle drinker here...Every night I choose a diffrent multi/SAK to open my bottle with :multi:

I can't remember the last time I had a twist off ???
Never new you were from the Toon mate.
