Thanks, Micky.  It's a little better today, but my brother lives close to the fire in Irvine and he's told me that there's a lot of ash in the air.  Hopefully everything will be okay by the end of the week.  Of course, I feel horrible for all those people that lost their homes.

Yeah, it's a horrible thing to happen.  The worst part is that once a fire gets big enough, it creates high pressure in the atmosphere pushing all of the rain and other weather patterns away.  The worse it gets, the less likely you are to get rain.

"A boy admitted to starting one of more than a dozen wildfires that ravaged Southern California last week, state detectives said Tuesday night.

The child admitted to playing with matches Oct. 21 and accidentally starting the Buckweed Fire, Los Angeles County sheriffs said. Officials have released the boy to his parents.

The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for further action, officials said.

The blaze, located in Agua Dulce, injured four people, destroyed at least 63 structures — including 15 homes — and burned more than 38,000 acres, the state Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reported on its Web site."-from MSNBC.com

They don't mention his age, but I have a feeling he's in the 7-9 age.  If he is in that age range, I could be more forgiving, but when I first read the article I was outraged.  So parents, give a copy of this article, or read it to your kids because it is a perfect example of why no one should be playing with matches.  This concludes my PSA.
