I want a new camera

I want a new camera. I have a cheapo point and shoot that's almost 5 years old and need to replace it. I want something just a bit more advanced than a point and shoot but don't want an uber confusing professional model. I've been researching for a little bit and came across this.

Does anyone have any experience with this? It's got good reviews and is in my price range.

I'll be using it mainly for pictures around the house and possibly some outdoor pics when we go camping. Nothing too extreme. And no, I do not want a film camera. I want a digital.

personally, i'd look at getting a rechargeable battery model - but if your taking it camping you may prefer it to take aa's never heard of ge myself but it looks nice

I have no clue when it comes to GE cameras but I guess it will serve you well. Seeing that it runs on AA you can get batteries everywhere you go so that is a plus, but would get some rechargeable one

You might want to look at some other models first - GE is relatively new to digital camera production and has a lot of work to do with picture processing and automatic exposure.

Close to your price range and feature set you might want to look at the Canon SX120is, SX130is, Kodak P915 or Panasonic ZS5
