Poor combat hog.
I'll bet he's wishing he was back in south Wales about now.

Hi all,
Myself and the combat hog are in good health and uninjured. I'm a long way from Christchurch and while the tremors were felt they were extremely mild where I am.
The destruction and disarray are obviously extensive. Mobile phone networks around NZ are still suffering and many people are opening their homes to people who want to get out of Christchurch whilst the relief effort is underway.
My name is on the list of volunteers ready to travel south and help out in Christchurch. Hopefully I'll go down in my capacity as a doctor and help out that way but even if all I'm needed for is to hand out water and food I'm very keen to get down there and help. I'm just waiting to get called up. As time goes on they'll need relief medical staff and if the sanitary conditions do not improve then there could be extended medical problems occurring so I just want to get down there and help.
I'll keep you guys informed as best I can. Work takes up most of my time at the moment.
Keep praying for the people of Christchurch!
Rich.

Thank goodness the Hog (and you too of course!)
are okay Rich!
And thanks for checking in and giving us an update.
We'll keep the folks from South Island in our prayers.
Hopefully you'll get an opportunity to get down there and lend a hand.

Hi guys,
I've been called upon to help in the Christchurch relief effort. I'll be going there next week, sleeping on the floor of a school for an undetermined period of time and helping out in the hospital.
If any if you have any messages etc for the people of Christchurch let me know and I'll do my utmost to deliver them though I reckon I'll be pretty busy.
Rich.
