Thong hole - hollow rivet, as what is found on 108mm SAKs, and the 93mm Soldiers if bail is removed.

The Hiker crest, from what little I know, could represent the crest seen on some of the luxury SAKs - maybe a reference to the Patron Saint of Journeys (I probably butchered it, but someone more knowledgeable in Catholicism please help me out here).

The Hiker Crest is the large metal inlay with the Forest Trees and the work HIKER.

I happily stand corrected; any chance for a picture of it perhaps? :)

I cant really tell you much about it other than it comes from an old 1980's dealer/importer in Canada. Not sure why they did it. I asked permission to show it to others and it was fine so you can put it on Wiki of you want.

I don't think they meant St. Christopher. I'm very interested in a picture of that HIKER thing! :)

I think they mean the logos on the scales. Eg you know how theres one with a fish and one with a tent on it.

Yes, I understand, but it's just that I've never seen one with trees & RANGER. And apparently, I'm not the only one ;)
