This is the one I won. The blade edge doesn't look right, does it :P

Well that's got to be embarrassing for Wenger.  I spend quite a bit of time defending their reputation as a quality manufacturer and then they go and send this out as a competition prize?  ::)

BTW I still think the Evo 17 is a great SAK, and I even prefer the Wenger blade shape to the 84mm Vic's, but it'd be nice if yours was sharp I think. :D

are we sure these are the same knives? I mean http://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=26035.0;attach=25693;image has a screwdriver instead of a corkscrew.

The one with the philips is the Wenger Evo 18. The model with the corkscrew is Evo 17.

While the Wenger 17 is my definite all time favorite SAK, I don't understand why these cost so much. I got the regular EVO 17 with red celidor scales for 25usd a few months ago.
I don't like the Evo scale design though. My Classic 17, same model some 15 years old without the contoured grooves feels much better in the hand, and carries much better in the pocket.

Mine arrived with no blemish!!You must have snagged the runt of the litter

I thought the one with the phillips was the Handyman....?

That's correct, the Handyman is the same knife but has the regular scales.

The old names for them with regular scales were the Forester for the 17 and Handyman for the 18. They kept the design of the tools, just added contured scales and a lock for the blade in the S verion.

Good idea! I will do that, but I would have to find that letter first ;)

I just e-mailed the guy who sent the "you've won a SAK" message :)
