Good to hear you got yours in Joe! :tu:

Between the EOD and the standard version, are there any differences other than the crimper jaws and the C4 punch?

Looks like the edges are not so sharp as my surge's ones.
So it must be so pleasant in the grip.  :)

It's definitely an improvement over the Surge in that regard Mishania :salute:

Bob,

Great review.  After playing with my new three-some for half an hour, I can only say that these are "COOL TOOLS".  Despite being a T/C Contender guy, I may have to find an AR :>)

Best - Joe

Bob , the MUT's all you say and more . I'm likeing mine , only difference is mine's an EOD model , works out as the C4 punch is quite usefull .

Oddly enuff , getting a MUT has caused me to letch after a Multitasker ( basically on the strength of your review ) .

You'd appreciate it Chris. The knife blade isn't as nice as the one on your MUT, and the other blades are pretty firearm-specific, but it is indeed a well built tool. :salute:

I'm still hoping they bring out a general purpose version soon. :)

Both the MUT and the Multitasker may well be breakthru tools , that will change the landscape forever . I hope more makers get on the D2 EDM cut bandwagon , would make multi's finally perform like real pliers !

So Bob, have you made a 154CM replacement for the awl/scraper yet?  :pok:

Not yet. :D  To be honest though, the bronze alloy that Leatherman uses for the awl/scraper must be incredibly tough. I've done a fair bit of work with mine and there's no damage to it so far. :salute:

Will it make holes in drywall , it marks wood pretty well . In a work context it has replaced my 4oz. sawed off ballpien -mostly used for tapping anchors and disciplining wayward hardware .

I'm liking it for for locksmithing calls in sleazy buildings , it's supplanted the 16" Asp that used to live in my tool tote . It's way better than a closed Asp .

Love the review Bob, made me want to get one really bad. Where can you get a good deal on the MUT online in the US?
Thanks,
Donald
