Hi From N/E Illinois
on: April 04, 2011, 05:02:34 AM
Hey Guys and Gals, my names Randy and I'm a police officer and custom holster maker from Illinois. My new every day carry SAK's are a Classic on my key chain, a Trekker in my side pocket of my uniform trousers, and a Rescue Knife in my duty bag. Off duty in my holster shop, a Gerber Multi-Plier rides in a leather sheath on my belt. I also have a new LM Super Tool 300 in my pickup truck.

I've put together 1/4" socket sets and various bits for both the multi-tools.
I look forward to learning even more about the various multi-tools and Swiss Army Knifes from you folks on this forum.

Randy

The Gerber MT isn't the most common EDC choice around here, so
how does it work for you?  :)

Welcome!

So what materials do you work with when you're making holsters/sheaths?

The Gerber was my first multi-tool. I usually only wear it in the holster shop. I like the benefit of being able to bring the pliers out one handed. I got a real good deal on it around 2001 from a sporting goods store that went out of business.
G'day & welcome Randy  :D :D.

Yes, that one of my IWB holsters.
Welcome!

So what materials do you work with when you're making holsters/sheaths?
I only use USA vegetable tanned cowhide.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
