58mm Stay Glow & pen

Can you get 58mm Stay Glow scales that have the re-tractable pen with sliding button? Or can you get a 58mm pen that just slides into a toothpick/tweezer slot like plus scales on a 91mm?

Don't think I've even seen glow scales with pen, but I believe the original removable pen should fit in the tweezers' slot.  Don't know where you'd get one though.

The removable pen had a scale altogether shorter than the one that holds the tweezers or toothpick; someone could try, though.

Ok so if i found a signature i could get the pen but it wouldnt fit a normal 58mm scale ??? I dont get how the scale could be shorter. Wouldn't it expose the liner and look a bit strange? Photo?

the removable pen slot is differently shaped (narrower and taller) than the toothpick/tweezer slot. you might be able to force the pen into the tweezer slot but it would be a poor fit.

Ok looks like another idea down the drain as there is no easy clean way to have a pen in stay glow scales. :( I will have to stick with a Rambler i think.

Add an Inka pen to the mix  :tu: Got me out of a fix no end of times, and I've even used the metal tube for blowing down to help get fires going/restarted. Just don't do what I did and spit the bugger into a pile of hot ashes when off your cake on red wine - tends to make a mess of the threads - and hurts your fingers when you get it out too!!

Yeah Titanium Inka is already on long term wish list :). The idea was Inka plus SAK back up pen. Another option is half red half stayglow 58mm. Now that would be different hey.

  Nice funny stuff here....  one solution to stay glow pen, is to see if you would like to use a bi-color set up so use one side stay glow and the other side.... well I'd say black , but if you want stayglow for visibility maybe white or the pale yellow would be nice.  Anyway something to think of.
