Byrd family group photos

Got my Byrd Wings from Sousterre1 earlier today so I thought a group photo was in order!







There is no beginning,or ending,and for this we are thankful,cos now is hard enough to understand!

Im looking at byrd knives at the moment.... What are the impressions??? Looking at meadowlark and wing but G10 wing with liners, what is the plane edge sheepsfoot one?? :drool: :drool:

They are excellent value for money IMO. You won't be out much cash if you pick one up and don't like it much!

The G10 wings is bigger by 2,6cm in closed position than the slipit version. And if I remember correctly, it uses the same liner for both blades.

I have two Byrd knives at the moment, both Cara Caras, the old one with hollow grind, and the new one with full flat grind. They are great knives, but I'd go with the G10 scales, as I find the FRN handles to be to aggressive and I don't like how it feels in my hand.

I'm regularly toting a Wings Slipit these days and think it's an excellent budget knife ... although I must confess it did take some getting used to for me

The plain edge sheepsfoot is the Generation 1 Meadowlark Rescue.  I don't think the Gen 2 Meadowlark Rescue comes in plain edge, only fully serrated.  It should still be possible to find the generation 1s around pretty easily.

i had the straight version and it was a very good knife  :tu: i like the robin in ss  :drool:
