Anyone got any information about these? The crest is of Indian Navy. Can't find any other information anywhere. Got the picture from one of the collectors groups. (Image removed from quote.)

I already spent at least half an hour trying to find more info about it, but unfortunately in vain

The search only resulted in more variations of army knives from the south asian region that I dind't know of and now need to have

Malaysian Police issue...

On the marlin spike SAK, did the Indian Navy finally announce the Vic Contract?  It definitely looks like the prototype I saw last year at Indodefence minus the Navy shield...

Malaysian Police issue looks great.

Announcement regarding the Victorinox Procurement by Indian Navy hasn't come to my attention. If it was materialized, it definitely would have been a big sale for Victorinox and the news would be out.

I have one query though. That Marlin spike looks huge; how does it fit in a long with other tools? Is there a different back scale cutout? Very confusing.

Didn’t got a chance to hold it in hand... The marlin spike must have been a tool required by the Indian Navy... just a guess... Vic rep did mention that it was a prototype they were pitching to A Navy org...

I don't recognize the big spiky thing.

1. Switzerland - OHT, Swisstool, Spirit (old models 1890, 1908, 1951, 1961)
2. Germany - OHT (old 108mm GAK)
3. The Netherlands - Dual Pro X, Swisstool, Spirit (old alox DAK and Centurion)
4. Australia - Swisstool
5. Danmark - Adventurer red
6. Luxembourg - Forester black with print
7. Norway - Swisstool
8. France - Swisstool
9. Ireland - OHT black with Tampoprint cap badge
10. Brunei - Centurion
11. Singapore - OHT, Bantam both black standard scales
12. Malaysia - Outrider camo with Philips and print
13. Outrider Swiss Joint Staff
14. Rucksack Kampfschwimmer (German Navy SEALs)
15. British RAF Hunter (aircraft survival kits)(there's a similar knife for the Canadian Air Force)
16. Master Craftsmans for Dutch Air force and Navy

And in the past:

Cyprus - Nomad
Nigeria - Champion (red and blue versions with pruner blade)
South Africa - alox soldier/pioneer (nato stock number on scale)
Ireland - OHT black with Tampoprint cap badge

Maybe Ireland should be on the "in the past" list as it doesn't issue any knife currently?
Shouldn't be the Belgium Spirit and Australia Navy 111mm too in this list? Pic courtesy Jaya_man

I mentioned this before.
I have never heard of a Belgian army issued knife/multitool.
National military forums state that soldiers don't receive a knife/multi on enlisting or when being send out on a mission, but are free to buy their own.
If there actualy is an undocumented Belgian Swisstool Spirit, the hunt is on.
But then again, what unique proporties would it have? A lion stamped sheath? An ABL "YY" marking on the tool?

Probably some of them are just proposed models then.

Could be!
Like vic offered a tweaked model for demonstration purposes, on which the military can decide if they're going to go with that.
Other then that, the special forces may have equipment that we, as regular citizens, don't know off...

Let’s not forget... It’s was mentioned here in the forums as well... Those Singapore Army ones are not standard issue but are available for purchase... And they appear standard ones with no special markings...

I remember having read somewhere the Brazilian Army would start issuing SAKs too... Not sure though.

Did German Army ever issue Swisstools to their soldiers? I know only about 111mms and 108mms issued to Bundeswehr.

A friend who happens to be a knife distributor in SE Asia is attending the Defense Services Asia 2018 Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and shared these pics in one of the FB SAK groups...

Interesting to note, there’s a SAK for VAT 69 (Elite Malaysian Police Commandos) and the Indian Navy knife.

During the Indodefence 2016 conference, the Indian Navy knife was just a prototype. Now we can see the navy crest printed on the blue scales. Tried searching google if there are any official announcements on this and found none. So my guess is this is not an official military sales contract but maybe a commercial contract with limited production issue for select navy personel... But I could be wrong.

In the bottom right corner of the last pic, we can see the countries which have the Swisstool. Maybe similar to those issued to NATO and France...

WIll that 3D marlinspike be a production tool? Or will I have to wait until these Indian Navy knives hit eBay at ridiculous prices?
