SRM 710 lock bar cut-out
on: May 22, 2011, 09:13:19 PM
So, I was fiddling with my two SRMs earlier this morning and noticed that the cutouts on the lock bars of the plain and black variants of the 710 are on opposite sides: it's on the inside on the plain one and on the outside on the black one. Also, the stainless one is much harder to unlock. Are there any pros and cons of one or the other design?

Probably different production runs.  Shouldn't make a huge difference in usage, but the knife with the outside cut might be a little more resistant to stressing from overextending the lockbar when opening.  I say might, because I honestly don't know.

ive never seen this before on a 710, mine are on the inside like the sebenzas, i prefer the look on the inside, but i guess it doesnt make a big difference function wise,
