Plaque Group Buy!
on: May 29, 2011, 05:02:28 PM
I'm proud to announce a Special, Custom, Limited-Time MultiTool Group-Buy of my Tool Plaque!

You might have seen my polls and threads about it and "what you like" and I've tried to include most of the things you've suggested.

Here is the one I made for myself (yours cannot have this exact logo):

Here is my site so you can see more of the Plaque and options (pictures) and see a 5 minute video of our machine making one; http://www.ambrosiawood.com/blog/

Just click on "Photos" in the black-bar (middle page, next to Home) or the "Plaque-Group Buy" or "My Plaque" links on the right column to see pictures and options.

This Plaque is for having a place for your tools where you can see them easy and access them easy (hangs by a door or on just about any wall).

It is attractive and functional. The base model has Logo (3D carved image), 3 metal pins to hang tools and a shelf for putting things on (keys, other tools etc) and 3-small hooks under the shelf for more stuff!

This Plaque is made from Alder wood for its beauty (similar to Cherry) but not as expensive! I have finished it/sealed it with Danish oil and Shellac to protect it and bring out the natural wood grain beauty (no staining).

The finish takes about 3 days to cure and set proper. I hand finish it (hand-rub and polish).

You have several options/choices for your Plaque:
-Cross Logo
-Shield Logo
-MULTITOOL.ORG Logo (Grant owns this logo and used with his permission)
-Monogram (initial of your choosing) 20 dollars extra each
-Metal Pins (Copper or Brass free) 3 dollars extra for others (stainless, black, aluminum)
-Position of logo(s) (top, middle)
-Other words/other Logo(s) extra (pm for costs)

I cannot do the "exact" SAK Logo (like mine) because of trademark issues (cough).

You can have more than one Logo but it will be an extra cost.

The base price for a finished Plaque is $45.50 usd paypal*
which includes:

Finished Alder wood Plaque (13-1/2 tall x 7-1/4 wide, 4/4 S2S),
One logo (not monogram),
3 Copper or Brass pins (removable),
1 shelf,
3 hooks (under shelf that are removable),
Mounting hardware (screws and anchor)

Each monogram is 20.00 usd extra with or without other logos (lotta work, normal non-group-buy is 30 per monogram)

I can do other woods but it will take longer and cost more (pm for questions and details).

Shipping is $10.95 usd for conus (continental united states).
International-shipping is more of course and experienced/regular member idea's/suggestions are welcome.
1 dollar for confirmation (international more).
It is shipped priority flat rate usps and includes $70.00 insurance (extra/custom orders will need more insurance).
Shipping weight is under 3 pounds.

Depending on the amount of Plaques I have to do I should be able to get them out to you in a couple of weeks (no promises!)

I will offer this Plaque for 2 weeks starting today (it will be in the calender in my site) after which the base price will go back to regular 65.00 dollars plus shipping. After which no more "MultiTool.Org" logo, this is a limited time run for that Logo.

This Group-Buy gets 10% off for the forum, and 20% extra for the Group-Buy (total 30% off see I luv ya).

Hopefully Grant will show you his! (hint hint). I made sure to get his permissions for this.

I probably will do this in other forums after this one but not at this price! You and this forum are special to me and I've learned so much here.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and it brings out some of your tools to display and show-off and use.

Thanks for looking and pm me for any questions I am open to idea's and suggestions.

*pm me for payment/PayPal information. as soon as I get your order the sooner you get it.

I just got back home (high speed internet connection) and was able to watch the entire video WD. Very cool how the shape of the shield just "appears" out of the wood. :tu: I can't believe how fast your router machine moves! :o I'm used to watching machines like that cut metal, and you can sometimes fall asleep watching the cut it goes so slow. :P But yours cutting wood, wow! :o

I'm having a hard time deciding what's special enough to hang on this plaque!

That picture is a bit outdated- I have a Shard, some MTO stamper Raker Ring Tools, a Powerlock 2.0, Leatherman Style CS, Charge TTi and soon maybe a Wenger SwissGrip to add!  :D
