Team Rocking Horse storms The North Face Endurance Challenge

This last weekend was the Washington DC stop for The North Face Endurance Challenge (TNFEC).  TNFEC is a weekend of races ranging from 50 miles to 5km, run over a cross country course that includes steep hilly terrain, stream crossings, single track trails weaving through the forest and patches of rocky scramble.  Team Rocking Horse entered 4 runners in the 1/2 marathon.  We ran together for the first 10 miles when my daughter put forth a major push.  She finished in 2:26.  I followed her in at 2:28 and my son and his girlfriend crossed the line at 2:35.
