Gerber MP600 , it was a new MT & the pliers were a little sticky to retract, my hand slipped off & went down the blade  :ahhh :ahhh. I could not stop the bleeding , ended up band aid + gaffer tape applying pressure did the trick.Photo is not very impressive though  :( :( :D :D

EDIT: don't be shy.
I KNOW you made a few mistakes. Including you [*points to you*, yes you], you [you too, yes, I am talking to you, I did not forget], you [don't look away, I saw it happen], and even you [yes you, as young as you were. You weren't even supposed to play with a knife].

Nope never cut/burnt/ground/sanded myself yet

Not that there's concern so far, but hey... don't deliberately try and do something
just to be able to post in this thread.  :D

alas, there are no scars to be had.  I heal remarkably well and this incident was nearly 5 years ago.  BTW J-Sews is Bob, that's his name.  He's a machinist too, hence the reference.  I am not still machining, but I sure wish I was.

Here is a pic of my 3 day old thumb wound.  Mind you this cut through a good chunk of my thumb and I am already out of the band aid phase, it just has to close completely now.

This is a perfect example of how a sharp knife is safer than a dull knife.

Exactly.  I've had much worse cuts, and they do take far longer to heal when the blade is dull.  Think tearing vs slicing.

Did this topic just bleed to death? [YAY, I made a pun !]
My little cut healed up nicely into a cool little scar, I'll take some pics tomorrow.

This forum is on the bleeding edge of what's new in the knife and tools world [I did it again, another pun, but this time, I'm afraid it wasn't as sharp as the first one [] !], and what's been posted can't be the only mishaps.

I'll chant: WE WANT MORE - WE WANT MORE - WE WANT MORE
