Silver Alox use silver paint?
on: June 15, 2011, 03:16:08 PM
I noticed that my silver alox knife is getting a tad scuffed. Question: are the silver alox SAKs painted with silver paint?

*facepalm* I should have  realized that.

Ah, so the anodizing is getting scuffed.  Oh well, I guess I'll have to embrace the “patina”.

We call it patina.

The Japanese have a better term: wabi-sabi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabi-sabi
