BEST MULTI TOOL FOR CAMPING UNDER $60.00

i AM LOOKING FOR MY FIRST MULTI-TOOL AND i CAMP A LOT BUT DON'T NOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A TOOL. i WILL NEVERT USE A CORK SCREW IN CAMPING ESC....

In the under $60 category I don't think you can beat the Victorinox Spirit.

For a woods tool I'd suggest that you make absolutely certain it has a saw and a can opener.  Nothing worse than being in the woods and no way to open your lunch!

The Wave is worth a look also...nice saw, diamond file for sharpening blades at camp, nice needlenose pliers for pulling hooks out of fish, one handed opening blades, a nicely shaped main blade for some light bushcraft (making tinder, nice serrated blade for cutting meat...

Pair that along with a Swiss Army Knife having an awl and you're all set for camping tool wise.  Aaaaand a Mora knife

Last year when I went camping I took along a LM New Wave and a Vic Handyman. I mainly used the wave because the pivots weren't right so I abused the hell out of it! I used the blades to do all dirty work like gut a few fish, used the serrated blade to cut so much rope etc. I really abused and tested the wave. I used the tool as a hammer, a weight to throw rope over something- like a tree. I really tested this tool and nothing was really broke just scratched... I would suggest the LM Blast though- same tools as the wave, well besides the serrated blade & it does not have the bit drivers, well a large on anyway. Or if you have fingernails I would deff. go for the SwissTool!

+1 for Vic Spirit! Made great (will last a lifetime) very good tools, excellent carry weight, and in your budget

I'd go with the swisstool from EDC Depot.  I would also get a Mora Knife because they are great for camping as well and cheap to boot!

I got my father a Mora last year- it was almost good enough to replace the Grohmann I bought for me but he ended up with!

There was a man that I read about that taught a survival class.  His knife of choice was the mora knife he encouraged his students to use that knife because it was tough enough to do anything and it was easily sharpenable.
