Help with SOG Powerlock
on: July 03, 2011, 05:41:02 AM
I have a sog powerlock black oxide. When I pull out a tool to use it, several other tools try to come out with it. Does anyone else have this problem or a fix for it?

If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

This isnt a problem its actually a feature they have included as part of the powerlock series. Tool clumping is used by some manufacturers and not others.
I have found if you oil the tool and readjust the tightness of the bolts it might help you.

Although it's somewhat annoying after handeling SwissTool and Spirit, it is actually quite handy while choosing the tool I want to use...

After considerable thought I think I like my gerber compact better than this sog. I have used a gerber for a ling time and just recently acquired this sog. So now I will be selling it soon. Unless Sog comes out with a better option I'll stick with my other tool.

Help with SOG Powerlock

I fixed the sog tool. The problem was the spring lock was not engaging when the tools where closed due to the fact that the bolts where to tight and not enough space where the tools sit. So I took the keyring washer drilled it out and inserted it in the tools. Tightened it up and now it works great.
