Interesting, but a magnet is a much neater solution. If you're afraid of glue (I am) use Blue Tak.

It works perfect, you can remove it no problem if needed. The only problem I see if you might have to replace the shrink tune now an again.

So, how would you ever get the magnet out, whether it's glued or blu-tacked? It's a small opening, and quite a ways up to where the magnet would reside.

I extended the shrink-tubing on mine a little further up and over the shoulder of the adapter. Makes sure I could never lose the mod then.

Thanks, good tip . Think I will go fix that.

Small altoids tin works well for the bits, I lined it with some rubber mat for tool boxes to kill the rattle.

So, does anyone know of a quarter inch socket adapter that will fit the CyberTool???

But wait, there's more.....!! Tired of the bits being lose inside your CyberTool and the potential for loss? I put a couple of coats of clear nail polish down inside the plastic bit cavities. Helped tighten them up, and it's an invisible mod.
Nail polish works as a weak thread lock-tighter, I just transferred the technology.

One can remove the magnet  with a needle. But there is absolutely no  reason to ever remove it. Even with a (slim) magnet, the Victorinox bits lock in place.
One can stick strips of self adhesive magnet inside the Altoids can and the bits will not move inside it and rattle.  With a Victorinox SOS seath you can keep considerable  amounts of bits with you.

Have you put a magnet in a driver ? I was wondering if it would extend the bit to far that it would cause a problem closing. Like hitting the plastic level .

Yes, I put a magnet in my XLT and there is absolutely no problem.  Small magnets are thin enough to avoid this. Mine was from a magnetic earring.

I would not use a 1/4" adaptor with the CT driver as the torque might be too much for the tool. What you can`t tackle ith it´s bits or onboard tools usually calls for stronger tools.

Let's warm up an old topic...

I glued magnets into the bit holder and bit storage whereby I used a two component epoxy glue. The magnets size is 3mm x 1mm. As already mentioned the original bits fit without problems.

Picture attached...

All the best,

Torsten

Welcome to  :MTO:  Torsten  :hatsoff:

Nice job  :tu:
I did the same some 3 years ago and it's holding up fine (used Super Glue though).

I have a little battery case from an old camera stuffed with all sorts of bits for it.

Thank you McStitchy.

Great to hear that it could work for several years. The idea with the battery box is great. Currently I'm fine with four bits because I need the tool just as vaping tool. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find allen key bits from Victorinox.

Yes, I wish they would offer more bits. Why don't they?  :dunno:
