Nice! now i must add a leatherman file to the swisscard scissors im ordering  :tu: The good thing also is that it needed little modding, so if the file losses or wears out is easy and quick to replace.

And i have many of those moments when the brain tells you "finish it i dont care what time is it"!  :D

I forgot back in 2011 that I mentioned I was going to use one of my MUTs as a motorcycle aid. Well here is proof...reposted for this thread.

Two Muts. Summer of 2013.

The Mut on my favorite pair of gloves. The gloves were the only piece of clothing I could salvage after my motorcycle accident back in 2010. So I wear these in honour of what could have happened.

And my original comment about the sheath...proved unfounded. I figured it out later and it proves to be rather comfortable and adjustable.
A little Leatherman information.

I just finished with the file mod. I tested it on the saw just in case it wouldn't work or I messed up. I used the diamond file to scrub away one side. Being 1am I figured, what the heck, I'll pull out my Dremmel and wake everyone in the house up and cut the notch. Sadly though, no one woke up, not even the dogs, and I succeeded on making the notch in the saw and file. I also used the Dremmel to scrub one side so the file would fit, like the saw. The saw and file fit nice with some lateral wobble. The bits also have some also wobble which I never noticed until I checked tonight. I am a happy man right now!¡! It took me over a year belonging to this great forum to get ideas together for this to happen!¡! Thanks to all who helped with their ideas and inspiration!¡! Here are pics!¡!

That's awesome Terry!  That turned out great.  I don't use a file too often, but I wouldn't mind having one just in case.

Look out Skeletool cause here I come. Always wanted a file on the Skeletool and thanks to you sir, I think that it will happen (sooner or later). I know the SX has a "file", but no.

So what can you do with a bottle of wine a Mut and a vic swisstool corkscrew?

The carbon scraper is great for making a clean cut of the cork cover

The vic corkscrew goes right in on the pocket clip

Going in

Success!!!

That's a cool use. The MUT seems to have a surprising amount of versatility.

I would have never thought of that. Of course removing the pocket clip was one of the first things I did.

Thanks  :tu: the corkscrew was one of the only things i was worried about not having with the mut (we drink lots of wine here  :P )

I thought about removing the clip too but i knew a clip so massive and incredibly hard was going to be good for something eventually

In fact pulling the cork out turned out to be easier than with most saks i tried.

I got the Surge replacement file/ saw. I was messing with it just to see how I want to go about this. Did anyone know that the file/ saw fits in the bit driver? I'm thinking of adding a notch to it so it will lock in.

That is great - very nice mod!   :tu:

Well, I sent in my MUT EOD [I see that Chako is also an EOD owner] back to LM with a note asking that it not take until next year.  With everything that's gone on - plus I'd sent it in last season and it took the better part of two months to get it back!  Trouble getting parts...as I recall.  At any rate, sent in the 12th and back the 18th.

It's a replacement.  Either a refurb or something, but I don't care.  I don't want to have to deal with...seeing LM in a position where they can't seem to come through.  Since that's what's been happening as of late.

So, they came through - and quickly.  Flippin' woo-hoo!   :P

I assume everyone's had enough of MUT pix, no?  Anyway, kudos to LM.   :salute:

Every Christmas time the NSLC (Nova Scotia Liquor Commission) sell gift sets.  They have some pretty cool packs, and I might try and get a couple of more.

well, here i am...
got myself a mut to!
i've been the owner or a victorinox for 20 years and then it died on me...
tinkering on my volkswagen beetle, i abused it a lot! ( bit to much i think...)
so i bought a skelletool, i liked the design but it was way to small!
So i bought een TTI, nice but wobbely and i did not like it at all!
a victorinox is heavy, Multi and STRONG!
a TTI is not...
so i gave the skelletool to my wife and she loves it, i sold the TTI and the new owner likes it. ( i think..) and i bought a MUT, it's big, it's heavy, it's Multi and STRONG!!
living in holland i got no use for a carbon scraper and a pokie-thingie so i'm thinking to mod those to an awl and a pare of sissors. i also don't like the way to bulky molle sheat so i took the one from the victorinox and refitted the velcro, no it's perfect on my belt!
so, for now i'm happy with it so i'm gone keep this thing for a while!

Congrats and welcome to the forum! Glad to see a fellow car tinkerer.

For me the mut is the ultimate tool, mainly because its very strong very well made. The pliers can even withstand some heavy twisting without giving up.

Now.... where are the pics :pok:
