Just remembering back when the SportRatchet was first hinted about at the 1999 Shot Show. Vic called it the BoardSportTool, and the design was a bit different:



Notice the location of the removable wrench device.

So what was the original use for the SportRachet? From what I understand its for snowboarders. True?


I bought one of these from a outdoor outfitter that was going out of business 5 yrs ago (i think)....for $12
still rockin

Yes they were designed for board sports ,  Snow , skate , water etc. The reason SAKs have red scales is so they can be spotted easily if dropped in the snow but if you dropped the SporRatchet its so heavy it would dissapear and cause an avalanche  :D  There is a review on its way .
