Very unusual swiss tool.

Ok i got a swisstool from my parents and im very confused.
It came in a CARDBOARD box. (ive heard there supossed to come in tin cans) It came with a NYLON sheat (I heard they are supposed to come with leather sheaths. And for the tools well:
It has all the little bottle openers and screw drivers and stuff BUT
It has 1 large blade, it has A RS saw. IT has NO would saw

I thought swiss tools were always supposed to come with that saw.
Anyways, I have 2 more questions. If you have a swisstool like this can you please give me the link and
2. When the tools are opened and locked, the tools wiggle. Is this supposed to happen? they can be wigled back and forth like a half mm or so.

The cardboard box is normal mate, normally only Wengers are suplied in fancy tin boxes, and even then, only recently

there is a little play in the tools, but much less than in rival manufactures, and if it didn't have that small degree of flex you probably wouldn't be able to get the tools out, so no worries on that score mate

As for the sheaths mate, well us europeans just usually end up with leather sheaths, while elsewhere it's seems to be cordura

Hmm that is a bit of a conundrum, all SwissTool's should have a Wood Saw. Any chance of a picture of it? The lack of file suggests the RS model but the lack of wood saw defies logic!

We need pics mate. Go through the tools again and double check. There should be a serrated blade, straight blade and a wood saw on the RS. If it hasn't got a wood saw do you know what it has been replaced with?

Yea its good i just was so suprised and happy at getting one of these that i must of skiped over the saw.
But i found it!
So it is a swisstool RS and actually the sheath is amazingly nice the material is very durable and comfterable.

THere isnt a serated blade on mine. just a saw a rescue saw and a plain edge. Is this a problem too?

No. The RS model replaces the serrated blade with scissors, and the file with the rescue blade.

Sorry, my mistake, I did mean the curved rescue blade when I meant serrated. I do have a habit of calling it the serrated blade sometimes. It's called many things, rescue blade, rescue saw, belt cutter and all sorts. Sorry for the confusion, you do definitely have an RS with all the correct tools on

Dont worry about the little bit of play in the blades . Its not a fault .At the moment I have 4 Swisstools and have had many more in the past and most of them have a small bit of play in them . My RS I have which is my EDC ( every day carry ) has very tight blades but doesnt snap shut like my other ones . One thing is for sure the play wont get any worse , Swisstools do not wear very quickly . Some other brand tools get very loose and the blades just flop out . but not with a Swisstool .
