Picked up a #7 this weekend.  It was preloved and needed the edge to be touched up.  A short time on the sharp maker and no surprise its a razor.  I love the simple design but like cbl I'll carry mine then put it away then carry it again.

Good for you my friend!  I love the simplicity of the design and it's looks.  I have a No. 12 on the way, a gift from Mrs. R.  This one has a serrated blade, which is different for me.

I have one of those in the kitchen for ages. It's about the only cutting tool I need/use.

Nice one pfrsantos love the color on that Opinel.  I had a green one as well but sent it over seas to a member.  The #7 feels really nice albeit small.

Congrats Barry  :salute:.  I've never seen a Opinel in the wild larger than a #8.

Me either Aloha but here's a side by side comparison with a surprise gift, the 2019 Tour de France No 8.  The 12 is a giant!

That SE #12 is awesome.  I really like that Tour de France as well.  Pretty cool way to add flavor to such a nice knife.  Heres a pic of my new to me #7.  I have another #8 in my camp cook kit.  As I'm typing I've put the #7 in my pocket.   :D

I love those Opinel's Aloha!  The older models are my favorites.  That No 12 is a new version, being sold as a Camp knife.  Those serrations tideal for cutting loaves of homemade bread 🍞

Mine has the matte finish, i didn't know there was a shiny one too  :tu:

I have been meaning to do this for a long time, #12 Saw and #12 knife into one handle  :tu:

That is awesome.  I can imagine that would be very useful outdoors.

To me the squarish handles look odd on an Opinel, but I bet it is a great set to use.

Go for it! The olivewood No. 6 calls out to me, as it's the largest city-compliant Opinel. Or is it the walnut that's calling out? :dunno:
