There isn't such thing as perfect for everyone, but there is a perfect for me. After making The Panache, The Arborman, The GRFXman and The Mighty Mjnolnirman, I was still searching for an everyday carry tool that would meet lets say 85-90% of my uses. I love the Wave/Charge platform, it has tones of space for features and since I have done so many mods with them already, I have lots of parts ready to go. I know you are thinking...but the Surge is awesome too. You are right, but the Surge, despite it's awesomeness, it's a bit big for EDC and I wanted no compromise between function/weight.
What good is a tool if you can't use almost every function on it?
So, this thread is to document the creation of my personal LM Charge TTi into what I call the SuperCharged TTI.
Add/Mod
1. A OOOHOTCF made from the saw (outside opening, one hand opening tactical cocktail fork, taken from the Panache. It's tactical because Multimat says it is. I added jimping to it so it looks tactical
2. Remove the small bit driver and replace with either a steel or a brass awl.
3. Fill the OHO holes for the S30V and Serrated Gut Hook blades with a Ti Spacer and add Ti thumbstuds.
4. shape and add Ti thumb scales (like the Panache) so my fingers and thumbs have some jimping and grip to get a better purchase on the tool when I use the blades. The big thing I miss when I use my folding knives.
5. maybe make a custom lanyard thingy.
6. who else knows, I may come up with more Ti or steel details.
