A new 1938 soldier and pouch :)
on: August 31, 2011, 09:06:11 AM
Morning

I sent 9 SAK's to Longstrider(on BritishBlades ) for a lot of TLC (re profiling and general repair) all were repaired to the normal perfect level ( I will show them in another post later) however there was a 10th :)

Basically the remit was  "have a go at rebuilding a basket case 1938 soldier if you fancy it" ..... I have also a new custom Pouch from Mat ... both are great..... ok on to the photos :)

Sneaky use of a press stud :)

The Blade is a mirror .... a very very sharp mirror :)

Really sweet!  :salute:

How much of it is original, if I may ask?

The Pins and the Scales are new (and the pouch ;) ) everything else is from 1938 The liners were pretty rusty but he was able to save them ... the back up plan was brass liners ... maybe next time :)
