Why can't we get THIS tool on a SAK?

What if a 91mm or alox SAK had a version of Swisstool Spirit combo/scraper tool?

All they'd have to do is modify the Electrician's sheepsfoot blade to make it similar to the combo scraper pictured above.

Completely agree.  That is an awesome tool.  Leatherman needs to bag the can opener and add this tool instead.

Why not just add one to the 91mm knife. It doesn't look that tough to put on.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I just got done using my SwissChamp can-opener for 2 large canisters that our regular opener can't handle.  As for this chisel-like tool, why not purchase a 5-layer or higher SAK which features the chisel?

I love the Vic can opener.  I wouldn't replace the Vic can opener.  Leatherman's can opener OTOH, isn't much to talk about.  :-\

btw, I've never seen this tool on a standard SAK, just on the Spirit.

remachining the spirit tool for a 91 mm SAK would probably be something that a factory would not want to do. But I agree it would be cool.

So the profile that was on the bottle opener back in IIRC the 60s and early 70s? (And correct me if I'm wrong on that date range.)

If you've got a round diamond file, a vise, and a movie you kinda want to half watch, shouldn't be too hard to do by hand. A grinder like a dremel would make it easy, but more likely to risk the temper.

How about a slow turn grinder :)

The reason you won't see this specific tool on a 91mm SAK is that it doesn't lock.  Nothing to stop you having the fancy grinds on the edge but it'd have to have a blunt end.

In its current design you'd have too many problems with it folding when used to push and with that edge ... ouch.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

So, basically, Vic should introduce locking tools on the 91mm models 8)
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

And then they'd be illegal to casually carry in the UK  :ahhh

An implementation such as on the Wenger 84mm phillips driver would be a good idea though.

I would really like to see a similar blade on the Electrician , or E+ . It would be OK as a non locking device .
