Other MultiTools Pt.2
on: December 15, 2007, 07:53:45 PM
See the original thread here.

Found two offerings from Duluth Trading Co that look interesting.

SwissTech 5-in-1 tool
http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/department/tools_shop/tools_shop2/tools_shop_new/82375.aspx?feature=Product_77

Roc Wizard Sheetrocker's Tool
http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/department/tools_shop/tools_shop2/tools_shop_new/69016.aspx?feature=Product_82

The second one is especially interesting, I enjoy seeing multi-tools specially formulated for a specific type of work.

Any other new/interesting tools you guys want to share that are different from the pack?

Curious that they chose to use what appears to be a full-size utility knife. Seems like a narrower housing for the razor blade would have been more appropriate  ???

Speaking of "other" multitools, here's one I've seen on a couple websites. It's called the Wrench Mouth. Apparently the one plier handle doubles as a large marlin spike.

* Wrench Mouth 2.jpg (Filesize: 33.07 KB)

One thing I don't like is the back of the tool is a rasp. That seems like tit would shower the other tools with gypsum dust. That stuff is the most abrasive and caustic crap I have ever dealt with. I wonder how long the tool hinges would last.

Good point. And it doesn't appear as if the tool comes apart for cleaning.  :-\

Guess I didn't realize that the RocWizard is from IDL Tools. These guys also bring us the SeberTech line of multitools. They have a pretty good reputation. It will be interesting to see how the RocWizard comes out.

The use of drawings instead of photographs make me wonder if they have even produced any yet.  :-\

Its the only reason i'll ever watch that type of show, to see the idiots, as soon as they finish the initial auditions it gets put on the black list of things not to watch!

J-sews and Lonediver seem to have the odd ability to acquire any tool posted on the forums within mere hours.

I wonder if one of them would be able to acquire one of these.
