Just don't wake the dog.  They get upset when that happens.  Mine wants to get even with them for doing such a thing. :)   Only problem is that Dachsund of ours always wants me to be the one to go outside.

Alright, time to update this.

The Raker Ring Tool is becoming one of my primary EDC tools.  So much so, that I just bought another one to have hanging at the barn.  Having a protected blade when working around horses is AWESOME!.  This new tool will have the 1/4 and 5/16 hex openings which will be useful for quick and dirty stud removal (horseshoe studs).

Little introduction: I live in Serbia and the biggest problem that I have in buying stuff online is that there are no PayPal in Serbia-my country is probably the only country in the world without PP :bnghd: I could only buy using Visa card. So, when I want to buy something from some online shop I firstly must send emails to check if they accepts Visa and only then I could order-it's frustrating when you found something you want and the only option for payment is PayPal. A gave up on a lot of things because of that.
That being said,I came across with Raker Ring Tool on this forum, and I decided to buy one-so, I emailed Ray asking if he accepts Visa. Unfortunately,he only accepts PayPal. I was disappointed, but 5 min later came email from Ray and offer: If I would sent him some souvenir from my country he would sent me his tool in exchange!
I immediately sent him figurine of my town mascot and some postcards of my city, and today I received his package and inside was not one but two Ring Tools-stainless and carbon.
I was so surprised with his generosity,I still can't believe it. He's a great guy-Ray, thank you again!!!

Hey!  I'm from Maryland.  That's sorta like a foreign country.  Heck, I'll send him some crabs and maybe an Edgar Allen Poe thingy or two....

You know, if I thought you could get me a bushel of blue claw crabs here from the Chesapeake in time for them to be edible, I could go for that. :)  I spent a bit of time on the face of Conowingo Dam back in the 70's.
It isn't really like a foreign country as they only speak with an accent.  Of course, Vicksburg, Mississippi is the only place I have ever been that didn't make fun of my accent.

I must admit that I wasn't crazy about the tool when I first saw it, but it has really grown on me. I had one of the thicker tools and it was simply too thick for edc carry, IMO. I have two thinner tools on the way and I think one will make it into my edc rotation.   :tu:

Wow, I just received my thinner ring tool and I love it. The size and weight is perfect for my edc needs and the fact that is has a backup cutter makes it my new edc keychain tool.  :tu:  Sorry Joshua, it bumped the mini MakeMake off my keychain, but I still carry that baby every single day.  :D

Raker Ring Tool Specs for the .93" thick tools:

0.6 oz (17g)

2-1/2" (6.35 cm) OAL

I apologize for that.  I am redoing my web site and haven't gotten the Ring Tools page  posted yet.  I should have them up this evening.

I will have to lose some weight and get in shape to stay up with you.  That was a bit overwhelming to me.  I never even made it upstairs to that group of booths.
I do appreciate all the help you gave me and the opportunity to go at least once to see what it was all about.
Thanks and I have been lurking some.  Trying to get back into the swing of things takes a while.

I'd sure like to lose some weight too!  You have to be in pretty decent shape to do SHOT.  Thanks for telling everyone about it- they all think is fun and dancing girls! :D

I don't think it would have been too bad if they had a system for the booth numbers.  I was like the rat in a maze looking for a booth, food or drink.  I even would ask some of the people in the booth's if they could show me where they were on the map.  They couldn't  and I was really confused.  They had no exit markers and I ended up asking a lady with a show badge how to get out.  I needed to go back to the information booth for more instructions. :)
I did enjoy being able to just be there to experience the show.  Regretably, I only lasted the day.  My son had donated his allotment to the casinoes and was also ready to come home.  Since I had picked up part of his donation and was getting home sick, we left the next morning.   22 hours on the road and we got back to Oklahoma.
There was some fliers on my window when I got ready to leave that may have been for some dancing girls or something like that.  A terrible waste of trees.

I did get the web page up on the Ring tools and have a close out on a few of the older models.  I think I got a flash movie of using the tool and a bit of history with it.  It was used for a demonstration of the tool.
I appreciate all the feed back and hope to continue to work on improving the design.
Thanks.
