Thanks guys  :salute:.

There's not much Leatherman can "seduce" me with these days, but when I stumble upon a retired (classic) one like this Blast, it's hard to resist...

The USPS just delivered my ticket into the club: a near-new Blast from Ebay. Never having held one before, I was immediately struck by how much lighter it feels than the Wave.
Current SAKs: Explorer, SwissChamp, Handyman (modded), Climber, Super Tinker, Tinker, Woodsman (modded), Electrician, Pioneer, SwissTool, Executive, Ambassador, Champion Plus
Current Leatherman tools: PST, Original Wave, Wave, Wave+, Blast, Bond, Curl, Style PS, Micra

I've been looking for a Blast lately, with no luck. I found one on ebay but it was in terrible condition. :-[

I hope you can track one down, RP :salute: they are very nice tools and a great part of LM history IMO

I hope so.
It was the Rebar of its time, so I really want one. I do have a Core, but I'd like a Blast too.

The Blast was the first tool I bought for myself after inheriting my first LM (a PST) and because of its great toolset it won out over the Wave for me :salute: Well it did at the time anyways  and that does say something for it :tu: of course we know how that went (says the guys with way to many LM to count now)

Thw whole Zytel series is one I wished was still being produced or at least something that directly took it's place like the ST300 did with the Core :salute:

I loved my Blast, and I miss it.  Other than my Rebar, it's the most consistently carried LM I've ever had.  I loved the scissors and I really wish they'd put them back in a tool that size.

:iagree: Perhaps the Bond 2.0 will have a similar toolset to the PST II the way the new Bond is to the PST :salute:

We can wish can't we :dd: :D

I had to go through this thread several times thinking I already posted in here...but I guess I missed this one all these years.

Here are my Blasts. I really like this family of Kick, Fuse, and Blast. At first I wasn't all that keen on the zytel liners, but they do grow on you over time.
