Head's up on a Rescue Tool factory error
on: September 17, 2011, 05:33:08 PM
One of my knife dealers ended up getting some Two-Handed Opening Rescue Tools; he only has a couple, but he has confirmation that he shipped one to Brazil.  I know others were made, however, I don't know how many.  Unfortunately, I do not have one, nor do I have pictures.  Be on the lookout for some nice factory-made errors, though. :D

IIRC the non-OHO Rescue Knife was intended for markets that had some restrictions on OHO opening knives.  So not intended for the US market in other words.  I'm certain someone (Grant perhaps?) did a piece on the SOSAK site about them.

Brownie points for your memory, Gareth.  I just found the article.  Guess some mistakenly found their way Stateside. :tu:

Mystery solved. :D

Alan , don't they exempt Cops , Fire ,  EMS , and Military from your rather restrictive knife laws ?

Cops can't even have oho :o I'm security and told not to have any weapons. Well last I checked I carried survival tools. :D My supervisor told me that one. He carries a HUGE cold steel that he used in Iraq. He was a navy seal with the elite 1st unite. Best of the best. :) so now I carry also. Plus some immature 57 year old guy I work with put a pad lock on his microwave so nobody would use it. Well he put the latch on backward and I just unscrew it cook my food and screw back together. I love my :multi: :D

Alan , in point of fact , they could probably get away with it . Who would arrest them ? Still kinda sucks .

Maybe one of the admins could correct the title to this thread.
