Just got this off eBay. Mint, looks like it wasn't even used.

Love, love, love it. Nothing beats the original Leatherman form factor, and this beast is just awesome. I even like the locks and their function.

We have our first child arriving in a few weeks and already used it to put together her stroller  :D

Nice !  did it come with the sheath ?

Sure did! It's pretty much mint too. If the previous owner hadn't soaked it some kind of perfume it'd be perfect. Its in the garage now degassing    I don't know what they used but it's managed to perfume our two car garage as well.

Photo is from the seller.

Picked this fella up today, needs a bit of a clean and tip of serrated blade broken but feels great in the hand and overall looks a great user

What do you advise for rust removal and cleaning, any tips appreciated

Nice score   :like:

A scrub with a small wire brush and some WD40 should clean it right up. I would reprofile the serrated blade into more of a lambsfoot profile.

WD40 and a wire brush :) :tu:

Has come up really well, sharpened main blade with VIC sharpener and gently stropped with some compound and is now happily thinly slicing tomatoes :like:

I can now see it’s dated 0697

Great job :salute: Looks great again :like: Are you planning to reprofile the serrated blade a bit or leave it as is  either way it looks great

Thanks Poncho :tu:

Think I’ll leave it as it is TBH, it’s only the very tip and don’t think it’s a problem. I cut up some carpet with it to make feet for a shelving unit I put together and it sliced through it easily.

Think all it needed was a good clean, everything snaps nicely and it feels great in the hand. The main blade was very dull but after sharpening good as gold, very pleased with it.

Reckon if the seller had done this he’d have got a fair bit more for it. His loss is my gain :like:

I got mine from an Aussie on eBay RP for not a bad price after some negotiating (A$100 with an almost brand new Style PS delivered)

As you can see from my first post this one was a bit rusty and grubby and the blade blunt as, but has scrubbed up beautifully

:iagree: In hand, the OG feels smaller but still has the exact same toolset as the rest :like: It is amazing how much slimmer it is than any of the rest :ahhh
