As I posted in this thread earlier I had some problems, cost wise, with respect to getting my LM tools replaced/repaired under warranty.
Well, I send, again, an email to LM USA a few weeks back mentioning the issue and the relevant Facebook topic and got a reply, after a bit, from the dealer here, inviting me to come and have them replaced.
So today, I was able to go there and had my tools replaced.
I was charged 20 Euros for that, which I though was reasonable, for 3 tools. A lot more reasonable than the 30 euro per item I was originally quoted.
Basically the dealer explained that this covers the shipping to the US as well as the tax he has to pay when the new items are returned back to him. I think I could have pushed for less but I am generally a reasonable person.
I also bought two LM pins there, for 3 Euro each.
Unfortunately he did not have a standard LM wave in stock, so I was, happily
, forced to accept a Black oxide one, from the display cabinet.
All well in the end.
