What is this? Unknown symbol help
on: October 19, 2011, 06:33:31 PM
OK, I have another what is it? The logo on this Victorinox Classic looks like a skull to me but also I think about those mushrooms on Mario video games. So does anyone here know what it is?

I thought about that but it really does not match up very well with his symbol/logo. BTW the symbol/logo is a metal inlay.

Come on Neil, help me out here.  :pok:  :pok:

Do you know the location of origin of this Vic Classic? Could it be a city or company logo from that area? It could be three light poles with a moon or keyhole background.

It also looks vaguely like the Beretta logo, stylized, without the other details.

Nope, but good guess as it helped me find these Star Trek symbols.

In order;
Tholian
United Federation of Planets
Bajor
Kazon
Klingon Empire
Romulan Star Empire
Ferengi Alliance
Borg
Star Fleet
Vidian Sodality
Vulcan
Maquis

I tried taking a black and white version for a run through google but that didn't find anything.  Also tried it on its side which brought back a whole other bunch of stuff that still looked nothing like it ::)

Same image with fertility added as a keyword also doesn't help ;)

I'm sure google image search used to be better than this. Its output seems very random

Bah! Close but no coconut http://www.machinekey.org/

I'm wondering if it might be electrical in nature - three wires soldered

My thoughts exactly, I have tried Google Images with keywords like connector, cable jack, etc... no luck :)

I was also thinking electrical but more in the line of "circuit boards manufacturing company" but no go this is the closest I got

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

OK, you guys have certainly expanded my thoughts about what it could be. Thanks for the help. It is appreciated. This query is circulating a couple of forums so if I get an answer I will post it up here.

An eBay auction lists the "Item location:". I just thought perhaps that might give some clues if their were some prominent businesses, tourist sites, or cities, in the area that might have that logo. To get a special embedded metal insignia seal or insignia implies a large minimum order.  ???

That would be a good Wiki page, various logos or seals used on SAKs.

The eBay seller works for a western US city and he collects TSA confiscated items from about 12 major US west coast airports. It would be nearly impossible to tell which one it came from.
