Know that some Native American Indians have what they call "Give Aways" on their birthdays, often hosted at Pow Wows.

Had felt guilty and often would hide from such things as it is more fun to the children. However was asked to participate in one as to not show disrespect. Received a nice beaded circle in which I wore on a handmade capote for many years.
That capote now sits on exhibit as an official American Indian Handcrafted capote somewhere in California.
