Its number is 1 21 13. It may have been called Classic 21, but that's only a guess. A lot of Wengers were called Classic plus the middle number in Europe at one time.

Nice knife!   :tu:

SAKguy came up with a similar phillips version recently.

My first SAK was a Wenger when I was very young.  I loved it, but it's pretty low quality compared to a Victorinox.  I'd carry one if the can opener was like the Vic.

My god !!!

I never saw a Wenger of 60's or 70's (your is before 1972) with aluminium scales...

I suppose the layers brass saparators are "home made" ?

Here is a link to the thread detailing the rebuild.

The aluminium scales were handmade 20+ years ago after I lost or broke the originals.
The brass liners were handmade during the rebuild.

Another restautation : this little wenger between 1916/1919...

I think it's a model 504 A +, found in an old catalog Wenger between 1908/1922...

A = Aluminium

+ = cross shield

For information, it seems to be an ancestor of the  "Cascade".

Disasembly :

After a good cleaning, You can see how I make new rivets, nothing is secret :

Reassembly layer by layer...

The little blade was broken, but I found a new one on a Solingen knife and with lot of chance, it was exactly the same !

And this is the final result :

After polishing...
