One for the cyclists among us

I'm staying with my family while on vacation, and I noticed a multitool my mother keeps around the house.  She's not a cyclist, but she keeps this one around mostly for lifting pull tabs on beverage cans.  Mom's a bit of a Coke addict... :P



I've never seen one of these before and a quick eBay search isn't finding one.  Anyone else know anything about these?

What size is the hex? If it's 15mm it could be a bike tool but I've never seen one like that before. Shimano also make fishing gear so it's possibly something for adjusting reels.

I've not seen this before. Possibly part of a set? Is the symbol before the word Shimano indicating that it is a slotted driver? Does it say anywhere what size the wrench is? That would suggest it is part of a set. If it were not, it wouldn't really make sense as a cyclist tool, since most bikes would require at least a few different sizes of metric Allen's wrenches and a box wrench wouldn't really be all that useful by itself. I guess this could be fore a specific component.

It is a fishing reel tool. I just typed in "Shimano fishing wrench" on Google Images and found several different links. Based on what little info I could gather, it looks like it is included in the packaging with certain models of Shimano Reels.
