I have returned home.
on: November 20, 2011, 08:45:06 AM
Folks:

I have returned back home to the USA.

The loot I got off E-Bay is too massive to even go through in a day.....will take several days.

Some of it, well, needs a GOOD clean-up and tune up job.

Some are CHERRY....i.e. a NIB 1970's Craftsman, and a nearly NIB Outdoorsman Elinox line.

The one that is  DEAD GIVE AWAY for a mod is a "Master Craftsman" with a mix of parts from the 1970's to today.

Jazzbass: you might have some more stuff coming your way for tune up.  I will shoot you an e-mail with details after a through going thru.

One other thing: shame Victorinox quit selling at duty-free.  I know...911.  At the duty-free shop in Germany, I discussed that very thing with one person during our lay-over betweeen Kuwait and the USA.

The loot: May-Oct 2011
Reply #15 on: November 24, 2011, 02:36:11 AM
Okay...here is the loot:

In no particular order:

- NIB Red Alox Farmer brass liners
- NIB Cyber 41, Ruby Scales
- Outdoorsman 1970's, used
- NIB Elinox Outdoorsman 1970's
- NIB Salesman 1970's
- NIB Huntsman 1970's
- NIB Craftsman 1970's
- Craftsman 1970's, used w/metal head tweezers and old Gerber pouch
- Handyman 1970's, used w/metal head tweezers
- Woodsman, used
- Woodsman, repaired by Jazzbass
- SwissChamp 1980's w/Olive SOS kit, repaired by Jazzbass
- Climber, small
- Master Craftsman x2, 1960's
- Franken Master Craftsman, mix-master of parts from 1970s to today (ugh!!!!)
- Fisherman 1970's, used
- Fieldmaster, 1980's, used
- Fieldmaster, 1990's, used
- 3x GrandPrix 1970's, 1 is goldtone, other 2 are silver tone
- Motorist (those nasty econoline scales will be GONE soon with new celidor scales...tradition be damned)
- Trouble Shooter, black scales (original?  they do not have pin hole, so fit that era, I do not think it is a replaced scale Marlboro knife)
- Classic (someone threw that one in)
- NIB Huntsman Plus w/ pouch w/Maglite Solitaire and Compass/Mag Glass/Thermometer
- Ranger 1980's, used w/Zermatt pouch w/steel
- Victorinox scissor spring repair kit

WHEW!!!  I will show each at a later date.  The Franken Master Craftsman is WIERD.......trust me on this.

Felinevet: I am MOST impressed by the gold-tone Grand Prix!!!!

All (but NIB) will be cleaned, scales polished (I went to Autozone today to get 1000-3000 grit sand paper and plastic polish), etc.
