Why is Fenix not in stores?
on: December 10, 2011, 05:19:38 PM
I'm new to this mostly...the only lights i knew were Petzl and Mag (at MEC)....If Fenix is such a reliable brand, why do i only find it online and no stores carry them?

don't know where you live but they have them in stores up here in Canada.  I live in B.C
and I know of two that carry them.  Check their website and see if they have a dealer
link or give them an email and they'll let you know?

My initial searching here in Toronto has come up empty. But this gives me hope to dig a little further. Thx

Check in electronics stores (the kind that deals with switches, cables, parts for electricians and service tecs). I find them locally in either those or knife stores. The Fenix is highly overpriced here ($25 for an E01) but Klarus is even cheaper than on-line. And that's in a 16000 inhabitants town, in Toronto there should be tons.

Fenix lights can be found in some outdoor equipment stores here. Prices are almost the same as the ones in online stores with shipping cost included.

Even though they're one of the larger high end flashlight companies, they're still relatively small as most companies go, so I don't think they have the production capacity to distribute their products in brick and mortar outlets with wide availability.
The first Noble Truth: life is suffering.  Only by accepting that fact can we transcend it.
