A brand new Sideclip, with box and sheath! It's nice to have a backup for a tool, it allows me to carry and use one of my favourites without too much worry.

I just pulled a Woodland Camo Charge + out of the box to start wiping down the Black Oxide and the tool fell apart on me. The set screws on the serrated blade side backed out and the thing fell apart. I’m beyond a huge LM fan, but these issues are becoming ridiculous.

From a friend, he got it from his local hardware store in the Netherlands. Every once in a while you can still find gems like that over here. Sometimes the asking price is way high, but sometimes they just want to move the ancient inventory.

Geez, that is terribly disappointing. Like you I am a big fan of Leatherman but you do have to wonder what they have been up to lately.

This is more than just the occasional unfortunate miss in quality control. Their average customer will only buy one, maybe two, of their product in a lifetime. If this is their experience that will end soon.

Well, I was tired last night so I just looked at it again. When I grabbed it the set screw fell out of the tool.  Does anyone know if it is supposed to have loctite on it?  There is none. I could fix it myself, but I don’t want to mess the beautiful scales up and LM needs to be aware of this nonsense.

I will do that. I bought it from Blade HQ so I emailed them. Mainly because LM’s warranty department is shut down right now.  I need to move fast, as this was a limited run.

I've got a package today which took over 2 month to deliver !

Something with... a saw  :ahhh

An OG Supertool (0696) in near mint condition... apart from the rust caused by not removing that sticker  :P

It's been 25 years since I have removed a sticker on a Supertool  :D

Some small dark spots are left which is fine for me. It will be used anyways...

Well, just arrived the newest member of my Leatherman family: a Knifeless Rebar!

To tell the truth ( and maybe because I'm spoiled by its larger sibling the ST300 and the Wave), I'm not in awe with first impressions.
It looks small ( but it's the same legth as my Wave), and kind of cheapish; the creases from the handle forming are visible, and I feel sharp edges all around the handles. The tools are somewhat stiff and, contrary to my-then-new Wave, ST, Revs, it appears to be bone dry; no sign of lube whatsoever (can anyone who had bought any brand new LTG tool confirm this, or is this just a one-case?). The locks rattle a bit side to side, and it's more pronounced on the phillips' side. This one came with the "angry bird" leather sheath; the description said it came with "standard sheath" so, I was expecting the nylon with snap sheath and was ready to do the "front pocket mod" as per Mc Stitchy; that's why I ordered the RBD together with it. Oh well, guess I'll buy one, and in tje meantime use my old, ratty-looking Wave nylon sheath (can I call it patina'ed!?!?). Maybe I'm just nitpicking, I don't know.

On the other hand and after reading about the many pliers stiffness complaints in different newer models, I squeezed hard on them handles and... no pliers stiffness after 5 attempts!!! Loving its lightness and the aggresiveness of the file (for the moment, to the touch). The fit for the RBD is perfect, and all handle markings (branding, rule scales) arecrisp and easily readable (unlike the ST's; chalk one up for the Rebar!). I'm really glad it does not have the in-vogue exagerated splay of newer tools, and that it is easily modifiable ( will look into a PE blade).

Anyway, I'm glad I got it, and I'll give it some carry time and see how it goes. Thanks for being such enablers and motivators! :tu:

Also, had anyone else's have the saw and file's nail nicks partially occluded by the handle/scale; is this like the FPR Gerber or have I got a glitched one?

Never mind...just went through the Rebar club and it's because of the changed position of the file and saw blades, as they now reside where the bladed one have the SE/PE blades.
