I bought this one on eBay! I never saw this one before with a black oxide blade. Anyone know about it? When did they stop producing it?

The First Gen, in many ways, is a far superior model to the later ones. You've got the extra-small SD, and in my experience, the finer teeth grip so much better than the ST300's head. Mine is a 2011, and I got it really cheap when a local military surplus store was moving.

My guess is that it is a Leatherman box (which may or may not contain something other than air)

It's a Leatherman box which contained air...

And a brandnew Freestyle  :D.

I never bought one since I considered it to be a less useful version of the Skeletool, and I already found the Skeletool to be a bit too basic for my needs most of the time, and that one at least had a bit driver...

But if I'm not mistaken the Freestyle is out of production, which changes things for me .

Anyway, I'm surprised by how small it actually is and how light it carries in the pocket, even compared to the Skeletool.

This is not a multitool without a bit driver, this is a pocket knife that comes with a pair of pliers...

Licking it so far  :tu:.

:iagree: The Cruch is a really neat tool.  Those pocket clips are pretty cool too.  How well do they work?
