I have a set of orikaso, here and here but there plastic, tough, durable, lightweight, easy to pack, cheap and a little bit fun to assemble, available in various colours and sets
I actually want to try out a Sea to Summit X-Bowl as shown here http://www.seatosummit.com/products/display/67They're collapsible silicone bowls and plates with a hard bottom section.They look nifty.

They only ever seen to appear in the ye olde white with blue trim though. My dad used to have one when I was a small kid. He worked on the railways and along with his flags and signalling lamps, that was one of his most important bits of kit Apparently first job everyday was to get the pot belly stove fired up in the guards van and get the "mash can" on the go. Thirty plus years later, I want one for down at the boat
