I like using elasticated sleeves, they let you carry a lot within the width of your belt horizontally, the clip would help retention:

That looks interesting!

I am pretty sure that Elasticated is not actually a word?

But I sure plan on using it from now on too!

The Oxford English dictionary would disagree  :dunno:

I assume it's a word not commonly found in US English, but it's a nice word nonetheless  :tu:

Picked up an Olight i3E EOS on a lightning sale on Amazon, was a good bargain on an already cheap light. Took a NiMH AAA with me to the Amazon locker to test it on the walk home and I like it! Single mode but bright enough to navigate in complete darkness, here's a shot down what my girlfriend calls 'horror movie alley'

The Olight i3E is a nice little light.  I like to have AAA lights, because they are bright enough for many tasks and AAA batteries can be easily scavenged form most remote controls.

I'm a big fan too, I think AAA is the perfect EDC light for most people, I carried one clipped to the corner of a backpocket for years in IT.

I like the Lumintop EDC01 as a more featureful version of the i3E, but the size and price are fantastic.

After a long break from the flashlights I bought a Fenix TK11 TAC, it has to arrive tomorrow.
I have the previous version with XP-L HI led which has satisfied me a lot, let's see if the new version is equally valid.

Fenix PD36 TAC. Pictured here with a Maxpedition 5in sheath. Whilst Fenix make good lights, just wish they would pay the same attention to the sheaths.

This crazy thing. It's a bit pointless as serious light with a runtime measured in minutes ( a very few minutes at that). But the giggle factor more than makes up for it. 450 lumens for about 15 seconds on turbo. Great for impressing people who still think a 3x D cell Maglite is impressive.

Fenix holsters are not like they were 10 years ago ..
They now sell lights with mediocre holsters and prefer to sell better made holsters.
I am using Armytek holsters paid for 3 euros in Holland on my Fenix lights.
Congratulations on your purchase, I am very undecided on this light, after using it what is your opinion on it?
Sorry for the removal of the charging port as on the PD36R :-(
Using it at 1000 or 2000 lumens do you feel the need for more throw or is it enough?

I have only used the light briefly, mainly getting used to it and to see what it can do.

The removal of the charging port. I am glad the port has been removed, I prefer not to have. If battery runs out, I will just the swap the battery. The supplied battery is USB-C rechargeable so I can still recharge that way if necessary.

This light is not a thrower, but that is part of the reason why I bought it. At 1000 lumens, it lights up a room very well, the 2000 lumen tactical mode is a little overkill for this. To get any throw on this light, you really need to have it at 2000 or 3000 lumens.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

It’s not exactly new as I’ve had it for over six months. Though, I  :like: it a lot!

The MecArmy X4S

Pros:
Small, powerful, rechargeable, with a replaceable battery. 130 or 8 lumens, giving a 30 min or 6 hour runtime.

Cons:
Twist on/off switch a bit temperamental. Very obscure 10180 100mAh battery.
