I have a number of Olights, and like the proprietary charger.  It is true that you have to make sure you have the right charger handy, including when traveling, etc.  So there is that.  You are DOA without it.  But its really the easiest type of charger to use, because that magnetic connector magically jumps right on the back of the light.  So its easy to top off your charge on the kitchen counter or night stand on a daily basis so you are always good to go.

I can see the benefits of the magnetic charger.  It is also nice because it means there is no port for water, dust, etc to get in.

At one point I had a Olight, Skillhunt, and Fenix which all had their own magnetic charger which looked similar.  I had to put a tape label, so I wouldn’t confuse.

I’ve become spoiled by usb-c meaning one cord works for most.  It makes it really easy for travel. The only item I usually travel with now that doesn’t use usb-c is my Garmin watch, but I do have an adapter tip for that so I don’t need an entire seperate cord.  You can even get batteries now that have a usb-c port built-in so can still use rechargeable without needing separate charger.

These are not flashlights but they are not wired either, they are solar and just taped to the side of the house, there’s a street light on the other side of the street and is semi blocked by the large tree, the town actually just changed the bulbs to an led so now I don’t need the back lamp on, but I needed just a little extra light so I installed these solar lights and DANG, they give off light! Totally perfect for taking the dogs out at night, they have diff modes and are motion sensitive, so they stay on at 50% and then as soon as the dog turns the corner they switch to 100%..

Just got in the new Olight ArkPro.
Did it come with the SWO pin, or was that added by you?

:iagree: I’ve like the form factor and UI of the Arkfeld for a while but mot the magnetic charging

Olight did.  They have an option for customized engraving, so I sent in an image.  When I received it was silver in color due, but  I filled in with a sharpie.

Same here.  I went with the two-tone flavor.  One big upgrade is the glass lens.  I melted the plastic lens on an earlier Arkfeld.  The side button for the laser is nice too, as we have a 10 week old kitten who muchly needs the distraction.  My ArkPro came with a free i1R2, which is on my toy ring.

Pictured is the new Nextool F12 Mini Flagship, which has a number of upgrades over the very excellent S11 including slightly better steel, locking tools, a pocket clip and a glow in the dark element.

I see we have similar tastes in more than the ArkPro.  My new Mini Flagship is suppose to arrive tomorrow.  I love the old one and am really looking forward to the new.

I know what you mean about the laser and cat.  Although I don’t have a cat,, my dog loves to chase it.  I also like the change of a separate spot and flood beam.  I went with the black due to being the only one offer the natural white which I prefer.

A little LEP with a twist: it has a reflector so it features a spot and a spill!

Bought two of these OLight IMini 2 EDC Rechargeable Keychain Flashlights from Amazon. Originally bought one to keep on the trike, but wanted to field test these first. Have an orange one on my work tools clip that attached to me shirt, and the other in green is on my walking stick.

Don't have any picture quality photos of them. They do work well, however only recharge on slower rate USB-A chargers. So dig out one of your slower than molasses chargers to recharge these with. I had a few that have to use with other products too that want slow chargers.

2 x Nitecore EDC07.

First non Fenix light in a long time. First retangular light. First light with non removable battery.

Let us know how you get on with it.

I’ve have a couple Nitecore lights and have been pleased with them.

I’ve yet to get any rectangular lights, or any with non-removable batteries.
