First Mod
on: January 22, 2012, 12:01:51 AM
What a PITA. I think the worst part was turning a 3/32 rod into a 2.2mm rod. I had to put solid scales on it to hide the rivet job. She is tight and snaps like a real Victorinox. I was surprised how well it turned out. Thanks to Vic for making such a quality product to begin with. I saw one here and the only difference I wanted was to put the CT in the middle, so it felt better turning screws. My new EDC, I think. I have a CT lite that sits on my bench, but not a EDC knife. It shall be named a CT 28 I think.

For your second mod, remember that Rotokid sells the right size stock.  :D

I have done the same thing with the rods. If you take a short piece, say 4 inches, mount it in a drill, then rotate the drill against a belt sander it works pretty good. Just leave it a little heavy so when you polish up the rod it fits perfect. That is if you have power tools.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?
