Any Love for the Kershaw Skyline?

I have always thought the kershaw skyline was the ugliest knife on planet. Well then it was released in a limited orange g10 run for cabela's. I just fell in love because it was orange.
I received it as a gift yesterday and it fits my hand like a glove. I sure know what I have been missing now. Darn great knife! The choil fits my first finger perfect and it just melts to my hand. If you have never held one better get to you.

You know, I like the idea of flippers more than I actually like flippers. I find them kinda fiddly to get in and out of pocket. Also, 14C28N steel rusts up if I look at it wrong. Dunno why.
Otherwise, nice knife.

Flippers are now illegal to import into Oz
.
So I found a Oz supplier who hopefully has them in stock , the listing said 'in stock'
.
I am hoping in a week or so I will have a Skyline
.
It will be my biggest flipper

I'm totally loving mine. It is a blem but only thing I can find wrong is that it was double stamped made in usa. I can't find a thing else.

The Skyline is a great knife IMO. The flipper is great. The main failing to me is the clip. Tip up, it shows too much knife for my liking, and isn't lefty-friendly. Despite that, I've carried my Skyline way too much to have a negative opinion of it. Just a great overall knife.

It does leave a nice amount out when carried tip up but oh well. Tip down don't work for me.

I've been on the Kershaw bus for months now. There's very few models I don't care for and the skyline is not one of them. Its on my list of things i need next to the rake.

I'm a bit of a kershaw fan too. I'm in Aus, and managed to get hold of an OSO Sweet - an assisted flipper. I love it to bits. I might pick up a skyline too
Just don't say fecal coagulation.

With the skyline being the only "name brand" knife I own, I'd say that it represents Kershaw wonderfully. The flipper is great, and unlike most people, I use the thumbstud just as much if not more. The clip needed some manual adjustment, but I carry the knife as much as I can.
The orange g10 is so much more bright than the usual black. It looks quite nice.

The Damascus-patterned Skyline looks great.
Were most of the Orange Skylines blemish knives? Ashley's Skyline and now Powernoodle's orange models are both blemish models.

I had a similar story with a Benchmade Panther. I looked at it in my local knife shop every time I was there but I always dismissed it because of the blocky, rectangular handle. Then one day they told me it had been discontinued, so now I
had
to buy it- after all, what kind of collector would I be if I didn't?
I didn't see much potential as a collector knife so I started carrying it and fell in love with it. Eventually it was lost after someone borrowed it and never returned it and I was heartbroken. Being such an unsuccessful model though, it was almost impossible to find, especially the model with the spear point. It took several years and several clip point models, but I finally found a NIB replacement and it lives safely in a drawer, taken out and fondled only on special occasions!
The moral of the story? Take a chance from time to time- you never know when you may accidentally have a very positive experience!

Leave the dents as they are- let your belongings show their scars as proudly as you do yours.

My Skyline arrived yesterday
from a local Aussie seller. I thought the blade was going to be a bit bigger & some jimping would of been nice
. I adjusted the blade pivot & I have got my Skyline flying out nicely
.
Very happy to have this Flipper especially now that it is illegal to import Flippers into Oz
.
Nice to have the 'love' for the Skyline

I had an original skyline and ended up selling but since then I've picked up a Damascus Skyline and the thing is really sweet. Its my only Damascus knife in fact, cuts like the devil too. Its a really comfortable knife and is overlooked by a lot of folks, course the kershaw junkies (I'm one) had to give it a try regardless.
