More than a knife
on: January 06, 2012, 08:34:34 PM
After buying my youngest boy his first vic about a year ago ( my first vic with saw) he now has a collecting bug like me. He now owns a huntsman plus,a couple of classics, and a Master Gardener. He now looks forward to the weekends so we can take out our collection and clean and oil and open and close every knife inspecting very carefully. He loves to hear stories of my younger days growing up with my grandfather who taught me how to respect the value of a good knife. I now get to  relive my youth through my son. Its hard to believe something as simple as a sak can bring a Father and son closer together. I feel good in knowing this is something he will be able to use for the rest of his life and will be able to pass on.

Wonderful story. It does not get much better than spending time with your son especially if you are sharing the same interest.
