Bladeless SAKs:the 91mil options
on: January 08, 2012, 12:44:10 AM
OK so taking my earlier thread to a more serious level, heres my thoughts on making a super sheeple friendly SAK:

Option 1:Bladeless

Layer one:top;can opener,caplifter.Back corkscrew
Layer two:top scissors, back hook with file
Layer three:File
Layer four:inline philips,magnifier

Option 2:
Layer one:Combo tool,small blade,corkscrew
Layer two:scissors,hook with file
Layer three:file
Layer four:inline philips,magnifier

Plus scales to be used if possible

Any thoughts?Am I missing anything blindingly obvious?
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

I see a problem with the corkscrew. The spring on the opener layer is thinner than the blades layer, so the corkscrew would be too thick for a backtool. Maybe adding a corkscrew to the inline philips/magnifier layer would work. The small blade/ combo is a no go, as there isn't a spring thin enough for that.

Use the larger blade spring and some spacers or washers.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?
