Well Benchmade suggests a leather cord strop but I'm thinking a ceramic rod? Any suggestions?

I used the Stihl file for my chainsaw on my old Charge Xti and it worked okay. I didn't think the rescue hook on it was all that sharp to start with.

I would go with the ceramic rod all the way!

They all work, but in the end you will want a fine polished edge since essentially you are doing push cuts. I only sharpened a hook once and I use sharpmaker rods then strip of leather with stropping compound.

Hey good to see you! I like the look of those. I'm going to search a bit locally for something like those. Did you buy those online? I have a small diamond rod but I find it very course.
